PROJECT SUMMARY
The photography for JAJA Tequila focused around three bottles with separate concepts. The color palate in each bottles campaign was an abstraction created from the tonal hues of either the Bianco, Reposado or Anejo Tequila.
THE CHALLENGE
To create a photography style for an already rock solid brand. JAJA came to us with an awesome branded bottle and a budding Instagram following. However, they had barely ever shot a single photo of their bottles and needed brand photography that paired well against their clever animation style.
OUR APPROACH
We created two different theories to go along with their concept. One based on the bottles in their natural habitats of rustic stucco and sunshine. The other more specific cocktail shots in worlds of a colorful cut paper aesthetic.
A brand like JAJA deserves
drool worthy photos.
Our first task was to create some drool worthy for the JAJA’s new Anejo bottle launch as well as showcasing their other two main categories of tequila. We chose a brightly lit stucco scenario to make the bottle feel right at home in Mexico. Each scene has a color theory behind it. Blanco in it’s morning light glory. Reposado in all it’s glory in the bright sunshine, and Anejo glowing in the golden hour sunset.
Photographing cocktails in their own picturesque JAJA worlds.
We crafted each JAJA bottle to have their very own aesthetic. Each theme is designed to compliment the liquid inside by incorporating different colors and objects within the label. We created photo sets based around these textural scenes and photographed cocktails and bottles within them. Additional details of the shoot included our creation of the entire cut paper set and layered objects into each shot to create a hyper-realistic landscape.

JAJA is a small batch tequila that strives to bring laughter and celebration to family and friends. Sweet and herbal - JAJA is inspired by the lightness of free-spirited days and intimate nights with friends.
